Carmen Copu, MA
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
I would be honored to come alongside you as you learn to untangle and organize your inner chaos so that you can feel at home within yourself.
Born in the U.S. and raised in Romania, I’ve always been curious about people, cultures, and what shapes us. After college, I moved to Taiwan to teach English before returning to the U.S. to pursue a long-held dream of becoming a therapist.
Meet Carmen
We are created for connection: with others and with ourselves. When those connections are wounded, we can lose touch with parts of who we are. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore those wounds, reconnect with yourself, and move toward healing. My approach is insightful enough to figure out where the pain is coming from and practical enough to do something about it.

Purpose & meaning
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy reading, good movies, Vietnamese cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I’m an avid traveler and have visited 30 countries, but these days you’ll often find me exploring Atlanta or camping in the North Carolina mountains with my brothers.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
— J.R.R. Tolkien
