Carmen Copu

Clinical Intern*

“A mind that is out of order is a source of great suffering. I want to help bring order and healing to your inner world.”

I was born in the U.S. and grew up in Romania from ages 9-19. I came back to America for school, then promptly moved to Taiwan for several years, working as an educator and serving in a church. It’s always been my dream to study counseling, and I moved to Atlanta in 2022 to pursue it. I am a current intern at Resilience Source and student at Richmont Graduate University set to graduate in 2025.

Meet Carmen

Humans are created for relationships, whether that be with others, God, or ourselves. I believe most of our wounding comes from broken relationships, and these wounds from early relationships create patterns of how we relate to others and ourselves. So, healing also needs to happen in a relational setting. My goal is to help bring healing through the therapy relationship and by coming alongside you as you explore the relationship you have with yourself and all your hidden, hurt, or missing parts.

How I work

I love to read, watch good movies, and spend time with friends and family. If you catch me at a random time of day, you’ll see me making Vietnamese food, sitting in Atlanta traffic on 285 belting out my favorite songs, or camping in the North Carolina mountains with my brothers. I enjoy traveling and have been to exactly 26 countries, but I’ve put a pin in my adventurous side while I explore the Atlanta area and my school textbooks.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
