Chris Glinski, MS
Associate Professional Counselor, Certified Master Addictions Counselor
I want to help others see that healing is possible.
My name is Chris Glinski. I've been in the helping profession since 2015. I started gaining some certifications in addiction counseling and eventually went back to school and obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Mercer University. I've always worked closely with addiction because it’s something that I’ve always been in close proximity with, whether it was me struggling or family and friends. I think when I learned recovery is possible, this work became a responsibility and calling.
Meet Chris
I practice primarily from a cognitive behavioral approach. In therapy, we look at how the mind is a powerful tool we can learn to use to change unwanted behaviors. I am a trauma-informed clinician and trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a specific type of therapeutic intervention that helps individuals overcome their trauma responses to restore/increase their overall quality of life.
How I work
I’m just your typical human. I enjoy family time, traveling, music and movies. I am very active and like doing Crossfit and playing golf. I have three dogs, Douglas, Molly, and Zoe. They are all tiny and under 10lbs.
