I needed a supportive network to help me climb out of the depths of addiction, and I am grateful for the opportunity to empower clients to take that first step toward freedom.

It’s a good day whenever I can get out to the golf course, especially when I focus on connecting with nature and not my score. I also love college football, the gym, and hanging out with my dog at the dog park!

How I work
My therapeutic process revolves around developing a deep connection with the client by being honest and transparent during sessions. I primarily work from an existentialist perspective but often pull techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy. So what does that mean? Clients will work toward finding meaning and purpose in life while learning healthy skills to navigate the anxieties of daily living. During the collaborative journey, clients will begin to experience newfound freedom and find what fills their emptiness within, which, for me, I have filled with drugs and alcohol for many years.
Meet Ben
Hello, my name is Benjamin Hampton, and I am from South Georgia. I found myself at the University of Georgia, experiencing social anxiety, depression, and pressure to succeed. I felt alone, having no family support, disconnected spiritually, and so I turned to drugs and alcohol. After being lost for many years, healing finally clicked, and I have remained sober to this day. My journey led me to begin working in the addiction field and eventually acquire a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.
